Transforming lives through books: The Hub Karen and Chemichemi foundation's joint initiative
The Donate@Book Drive kicked off on December 31, 2022, and lasted for a month until January 31, 2023. During this period, we received an overwhelming response from well-wishers and The Hub Karen shoppers, who generously donated a total of 2,017 assorted books. The response was truly heartwarming, and we were humbled by the kindness and generosity of our shoppers. On February 8, 2023, we were able to hand over the donated books to four deserving schools: Karen Technical Training Institute for the Deaf, Kasarani Treeside Secondary School for the Deaf, Dagoretti Special School, and Waithaka Special School. We were deeply moved by the appreciation and joy that the students expressed upon receiving the books. It was a truly touching moment, and we felt proud to have been able to make a positive impact in their lives.

The Hub Karen joins hands to plant seedlings in the fight against climate change
In partnership with African Forest director Kenya Mutiso, Tinah Lughano - Green kids awards director, Karen Kimani - Miss green 2022, and The Hub Karen, we took the initiative to fight climate change by planting seedlings. The event was held to support the idea that planting a trillion trees globally could be the single most effective way to combat climate change, a belief strongly held by scientists. The initiative was a success and contributed to the ongoing efforts to address the challenge of climate change.#climatechange
